Since 2014, seven teams of Hong Kong volunteer dentists have been serving in Uganda during the summertime. Through oral health education talks, establishment of outreach dental clinics in two Watoto Children Villages (equipped with modern dental chairs and equipment), recruitment of Hong Kong dental professionals, including dentists, dental hygienists and dental students to do outreach dental services in villages and local schools, several thousands of African orphanage children, HIV patients and nearby communities in villages in Kampala and Gulu were served successfully.
