Joanna Chan is a photographer and multimedia journalist based in London, now working as a freelancer. She was the 2025 Photography Intern at the Associated Press (AP) London bureau for over four months. Her coverage spanned major sporting events like the Wimbledon tennis tournament, royal events, and political assignments ranging from Downing Street to street-level protests.
 

She previously worked as a news reporter in Hong Kong for over two years, covering the 2019 protests. Her documentary and digital storytelling experience also extends to projects in Africa, documenting medical outreach within the community.
